TRYOUTS 2025-2026
The RRHS Golf Program is for competitive golfers and space in the program is extremely limited. ALL students returning to Round Rock High School should try out via the Junior Golf Tours and meet the minimum scoring requirement for their grade level (see expectations below).
Those meeting the average score requirement over a minimum of four 18-hole tournament rounds will earn a spot in the program for the 2025-2026 school year.
The average score will be taken from all qualifying rounds. Those with more than four qualifying rounds may drop their worst qualifying round. All qualifying tournaments must take place between April-July of 2025.
SENIORS
Seniors are expected to compete at the varsity level and their tryout should consist of at least two 36-hole tournaments (STPGA Prestige, TJGT, Legends JGT, etc.). Those seniors who play in more than two 36-hole tournaments may drop their worst qualifying round.
FRESHMEN
Incoming freshmen and other students new to Round Rock High School are strongly encouraged to try out via the Junior Golf Tours. There will be a tryout for students new to RRHS during the week of August 4th ONLY if space remains in the program.

Seniors: average 84 or better, girls average 92 or better
Juniors: average 88 or better, girls average 98 or better
Sophomores: average 92 or better, girls average 104 or better
Freshmen: average 96 or better, girls average 110 or better
